In this short Photoshop tutorial, we’ll show you how to create a spotlight effect on an object in Photoshop. This effect can add a unique and dramatic effect to your images. There are several ways to achieve this effect. We’ll show you the easiest and most common way of using the Lighting Effects filter.
- Create a blank canvas.
- Add your object image as a new layer.
- We’re going to apply the Lighting Effects filter.
- go to Filter > Render > Lighting Effects and select “Spot” from the Style menu.
- Adjust the settings to your liking in the effect properties section, such as Intensity, Ambience and Focus.
All done, you can now add, focussed and dramatic lighting to your images.
